Dr. Ana Lisa Carr, MD, MBA, is a board-certified Family Medicine Physician with additional certifications in Obesity and Addiction Medicine. As a medical reviewer and clincal provider for Join Josie, she brings over 15 years of clinical experience helping women in menopause navigate weight gain and metabolic shifts. Dr. Carr is also the founder and Chief Medical Officer of Ringside Health, licensed in all 50 states, and fluent in English and Spanish. She combines her medical expertise with a passion for supporting women through personalized, provider-guided care.
Dr. Ana Lisa Carr, MD, MBA, is a board-certified Family Medicine Physician with additional board certifications in Addiction Medicine (ASAM) and Obesity Medicine (ABOM). She brings over 15 years of clinical experience to her role as a medical reviewer for the Join Josie blog, where she also serves as a trusted GLP-1 provider for women navigating menopause and midlife weight changes.
Dr. Carr is the founder and Chief Medical Officer of Ringside Health, seeing patients in person in Wellington, Florida, and virtually across all 50 states. She holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Miami, a medical degree from St. George’s University, and a Physician Executive MBA from Auburn University.
Her postgraduate training includes family medicine residencies at the University of Virginia and WSU Boonshoft School of Medicine, where she served as Chief Resident. She also completed Addiction Medicine training while on faculty at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine from 2017 to 2021.
In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. Carr has spent the last five years working in Production Medicine—supporting cast and crew as the on-site physician for NCAA Football and Basketball, the NFL, PGA Masters, and global reality TV productions.
Licensed in all 50 states and fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Carr combines her deep clinical knowledge with a passion for helping women in midlife take charge of their health.
