About Join Josie

For us at Join Josie, we exist for one reason - to help women overcome hormonal weight challenges with compounded GLP-1 medications - and a few different options for you to choose based on your goals and budget.

Our offerings are very simple - compounded GLP-1s. You’ll be able to choose from two types of compounded GLP-1 medications:

  1. Compounded GLP-1 (Same active ingredient as Semaglutide)
  2. Compounded GLP-1 + GIP (Same active ingredient as Tirzepatide)

We have true month-to-month plans - pay as you go, refill when you’re ready. Or, you can bundle and save with our 3-month plans - again, pay as you go, refill when ready.

In addition to our premium weight loss medications, we also offer compounded GLP-1 microdosing options.

Microdosing at Josie exists for women who want a more gradual, gentle way to begin GLP-1 therapy, or to support long-term wellness goals (longevity).

Some women prefer to start small and allow their bodies to adjust slowly before moving to a higher dose, while others choose microdosing as part of their ongoing wellness routine.

Month-To-Month Pricing, or Bundle and Save

Let’s go over the pricing structure for our compounded GLP-1 medications at Josie:

Weight Loss Medication Month-To-Month

Weight Loss Medication Bundles

  • 3-Month Bundle Compounded Semaglutide: $649 ($216/mo - $83/mo savings)
  • 3-Month Bundle Compounded Tirzepatide: $849 ($283/mo - $116/mo savings)

Note: The 3-Month Compounded Tirzepatide bundle makes Josie one of the most affordable compounded Tirzepatide providers out there!

Microdose Solutions Month-To-Month

Microdose Bundles

  • 3-Month Bundle Microdose Compounded Semaglutide: $599 ($200/mo - $29/mo savings)
  • 3-Month Bundle Compounded Tirzepatide: $799 ($266/mo - $63/mo savings)

The 3-Month bundles are a one time payment every 3 months, if and when you’re ready to refill.

Each bundle plan includes 3 months free of The Simply Strong App, a strength training app built for women over 35, which includes over 500 high protein, proven recipes.

Important to note: pricing always stays the same, regardless of dose increase.

Our Refill Process

Another thing that sets us apart is our refill process. We don’t autobill, and we believe in our patients and our NPs or MDs to get on the same page before refilling.

Here’s how it works:

Two weeks before your next scheduled refill, we’ll send out a “Refill Form.” The patient will fill that form out and the assigned NP or MD will review the form. From there, you and the provider will agree on the next dosage. Only at that time, will we send the new invoice out to get the next medication ordered.

Our members love this, as they’re never locked into a particular plan, and it allows both the patient and the provider to optimize for personalization.

Our Pharmacy Partners

All of the pharmacies we partner with are right here in the United States, and they pass rigorous testing and compliance to fill compounded medications.

Below, is our list of pharmacies we use to fill the prescriptions for our patients:

  • Belmar Pharmacy - www.belmarpharmasolutions.com
  • Strive Pharmacy - strivepharmacy.com
  • Epiq Scripts - epiqscripts.com
  • Casa Pharma Rx - casapharmarx.com

About Hers GLP-1 Weight Loss

Hers is a major telemedicine company for women. They provide a magnitude of prescription medications for our most pressing issues. From hair loss to birth control, and of course weight management.

Speaking in terms of their compounded GLP-1 medication, it’s hard to beat their $199/mo pricing for compounded semaglutide. However, what some women don’t know is this pricing is for a year upfront. The one time payment would be around $2,388. This would cover you for the year.

Hers doesn’t offer compounded tirzepatide, which most women choose here at Josie - just because it has the potential to work better than semaglutide for some women.

Hers does offer brand-name medications, so if that’s something you’re considering, you may want to look into that, and see if your insurance covers it.

Hers intake process is quite extensive, and they always seem to offer their compounded semaglutide at the end of it, regardless of what answers you give them - it’s something that our team noted after filling out their intake form multiple times.

Overall, women really enjoy the Hers brand - they are trustworthy and have been serving women in the telemedicine space for many years.

Comparing Pricing

Hers offers their compounded semaglutide for $199/mo with a 12-month plan, paid up-front.

Josie has options that can fit your budget, preference and goals. With our 3-Month bundle, we are very competitively priced compared to hers.

Comparing GLP-1 Offerings

Josie offers the following:

  • Compounded GLP-1 Injections
  • Compounded GLP-1 Oral Dissolvable Tablets
  • Compounded GLP-1 + GIP Injections
  • Compounded GLP-1 + GIP Oral Dissolvable Tablets
  • Microdose Compounded GLP-1 Injections
  • Microdose Compounded GLP-1 + GIP Injections
  • Month-To-Month Plans or 3-Month Bundle and Save

Hers offers the following for weight loss:

  • Compounded GLP-1 (semgalutide only) Injections - 12-month up-front only
  • Metformin - as part of their weight loss kit

BMI Requirements

At Josie, our providers take more than BMI into account when approving patients for compounded GLP-1 medications, which is why we can approve the majority of women who fill out our intake form.

Hers, on the other hand, has BMI requirements that you must meet to be approved for their compounded GLP-1 medications.

Healthy Lifestyle Support

For Hers, there’s a Hers app, which offers high protein recipes, light movement workouts, goal setting, guidance, sleep tracking and more.

Josie has partnered with The Simply Strong App, and we offer it for free for 3 months if you choose a 3-month bundle plan. It’s part of our 90-Day metabolic reset plan.

The Simply Strong App is a women’s strength training app with over 500 high protein recipes, developed by Certified Personal Trainer, Tami Smith. Strength training and eating high protein meals are essential for maintaining muscle mass as we enter midlife, and especially when taking a GLP-1.

Both Hers and Josie provide science-backed workouts and high protein recipes that help women build healthy habits and support them on their medical weight loss journey.

Bottom Line: Hers or Josie?

Hers is a reliable, trustworthy weight loss program for women of all ages, and it’s a great fit if you’re looking for simple, low-cost entry into GLP-1 medication and prefer to pay upfront for the year. They’ve built a strong reputation for helping women access care online.

Josie might be the better choice if you’re in perimenopause or menopause, want flexible month-to-month options or 3-month bundles, or prefer a program designed specifically for women with hormonal changes. Our providers take those changes into account when personalizing your plan.

Hers only offers compounded semaglutide injections only, while Josie offers compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide - both oral and injections, as well as a microdose option.

Josie’s partnership with The Simply Strong App helps you protect muscle, eat enough protein and build lifelong habits. Hers has their own app that does the same.

Both programs make GLP-1 treatment more accessible for women, just in different ways. Hers focuses on simplicity and upfront affordability, while Josie was created for women navigating hormonal changes in midlife. Whichever direction you choose, understanding your options is the first step toward building a plan that fits your life.
